TLC LEADS TO SUCCESS!

When my youngest child started school, I knew I wanted to go back myself. Being out of school
for ten years, I didn’t know where to start. My support worker told me about the T.L.C. I started
in November of 2009. My math, reading and writing skills have definitely improved. The staff is
helpful and caring. Since going back to school, I’ve noticed that my attitude and social skills are
much sharper and I’m looking forward to my future. I would recommend the T.L.C. to anyone
who wants an education and needs help. The T.L.C. is the perfect start.

Well, I never thought I would be back in school again. I’m a student at the Timmins Learning
Centre. I made the choice to enrol in the Adult Centre, knowing that I needed help to achieve
my goals. They also are helping me to improve myself and have helped me to understand
subjects such as English and proper writing a lot better. I am working towards my grade 12.
They have also made me feel comfortable in myself and in school. The people here are easy to
work with and can assist you when you have a problem, so if you’re thinking of getting back into
school, I know that the Timmins Learning Centre is a great start!

Homework Club

This has been a wonderful help and encouragement for my daughter. She actually completed a project for school. Thank you for providing encouragement.”

My daughter has been doing better in reading, writing , spelling and math. She got an A in math on her report card this term. Big improvement from last term when she had a C or D.

The Homework Club is cool. It’s a good place to go if you don’t understand what’s going on in school.

What the Timmins Learning Centre has done for me…

The TLC has helped me with my writing, reading and math. I never thought I could read my kids a book without skipping words. I can read to them and enjoy it at the same time. My writing is getting a lot better from when I first came here.

I can write words that I never thought I could. My math is great and I love doing it now. I never knew you needed so much math to get through life. Thank you so much TLC, you have helped me a lot with everything. I enjoy being here and learning everything I need to do, to go to college and to work.
